It's a close call with complexity, but the wealthy benefit greatly from our national infrastructure. They should pay for it.

I was thinking "Wow, they really should have been wearing their life vests in that kind of weather." But I read the whole article, and farther down one of the rescuers was quoted as saying: "I tried to get them to swim to the boat, but they said they didn't know how to swim,"

I thought the article was very even-handed about saying that the outage was triggered by one person's activity, but that the problem was that the event didn't stay localized. The investigation isn't about how the worker could screw up--it's about why the system failed.
